Welcome to the Capilano Wrestling Hall of Fame.  Below are past and current Capilano Wrestling Club, North Shore wrestlers who have gone on to National and International success in the sport.  We are very proud of them, as we are of everyone who takes up wrestling.

Angela Lacy2X Outstanding Wrestler at the 1994 and 1995 B.C. High School Championships.  Second, 1993 Canadian Espoir Championships.
Ellen Ashdown 2X B.C. High School Champion in 1993 and 1994.  Third place, 1993 National Espoir Championships.
Janna Penny Outstanding Wrestler at the 1993 B.C. High School Championships, 1993 Canadian Espoir Champion, 1993 Canadian Senior Champion, 3rd Place 1993 Senior World Championships.
Audrey Yap1994 National Cadet Champion and Voted the Outstanding Wrestler at the Tournament.  B.C. High School Champion in 1995.
Amir GharemanThe only 3X Male B.C. High School Champion from the North Shore (1994, 1995, 1996)
Chris Lim2X B.C. High School Champion in 1992 and 1993.  National Juvenile Champion in 1993.
Justin Kapil1995 B.C. High School Champion.  3rd - National Junior Champs 1997
Shannon Samler 1995 B.C. High School Champion.  2 X Cadet National Champ (1993, 1994).  3rd at 1996 Juvenile National Championships.  2nd at 1997 National Junior Champs and 1st at 1998 Juvenile National Championships.  9 Senior National placings including 4-time National Champ (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003).  NAIA Champ (2002).  4th at 1998 Junior Worlds, and 4 trips to Senior Worlds including 4th, 6th, and 10th placings.

Emily Richardson 1999 B.C. High School Champion, 1999 National Juvenile Champ and Voted Outstanding Juvenile Female Wrestler at the tournament.  National Jr. Champ and 4 to 5X National Senior Champs.  World Junior and Senior placings
Sina Vagheri 2000 B.C. High School Champion.  Third at 2000 National Juvenile Championships.
Hilary Leith2000 and 2001 B.C. High School Champion, 2000 National Juvenile HWT Champion.  Second, 2001 National Juvenile HWT Championships.
Dane Rive2X B.C. High School Champion (1999 and 2001).  Voted Outstanding Wrestler at the 2001 B.C. High School Championships. National Greco-Roman Juvenile Champion in 2002.
Lauren Boggio2003 B.C. High School Champion, third at 2003 National Cadet Championhips.
Ashley McKilligan

2004 B.C. High School Champion (voted Tournament's Outstanding Female Wrestler).  Third, 2004 National Juvenile Championships.  National Junior Champion in 2005.  Thirteenth at 2005 World Junior Championships.  2006 CIS Champion.  (48 Kg.) 2008 CIS National Champion. 

Pat McDonald2005 B.C. High School Champion, Third Freestyle, Second in Greco-Roman at the 2005 National Juvenile Championhips.  Gold Medallist, 2005 Canada Summer Games.  (76 kg.) 4th at 2007 CIS Championships; (76 kg.) 4th at 2007 National Junior Championships.  (82 kg.) 3rd at 2008 CIS National Championships; 2008 SFU Wrestling-Scholar Athlete.

Matt Yanagiya2006 National Cadet Champion.  (63 kg.) 2007 B.C. High School Champion. (69 kg.) 3rd in Greco-Roman at 2008 Juvenile Nationals

(65-70 kg.) 2x B.C. High School Champion; 2nd, 2007 National Juvenile Championships. (63 kg.) Voted 2008 CIS Canada West Female Rookie-of-the-Year; 2nd at 2008 CIS Nationals; 2nd at 2008 Junior National.
